Take a glimpse of the seaside resorts of Warnemuende and Rostock, originally fishing villages that formed the medieval Hanseatic League. Then, escape to the nearby town of Schwerin to view its romantic and historical castle. For centuries, the Schwerin Castle was the home of the dukes and grand dukes. Nestled at the lakeside and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it will take your breath away. Keep your camera ready as you visit the grand living quarters and the ceremonial rooms, dating back to the 19th century, and step outside to walk between the Orangerie and lush gardens.

"In Warnemuende, we decided not to take the long train ride to Berlin and instead book with Alla Tours on the Hanseatic Rostock and Schwerin Castle Tour. What a good decision. Our guide, Karin Reise-Agentur Schatzberg, was so nice, professional and efficient. She made the tour especially fun for the youngest in our group who was only 10. Karin would "walk and talk" to make sure we could get to all the places in time as well as have time to see the sights. She made sure to always keep you informed of where we were, where we're going, when we're going and she'd keep track of you. She was also so nice to direct us to the nearest post office so we could get German stamps for our collection. The tour included a train ride to Schwerin where we had lunch in a great local restaurant and a tour of the magical Schwerin Castle. We followed that with a visit to the old town of Rostock for some shopping and to see the fantastic Astronomical clock. Again wonderful!"
