09:00			A warm meet and greet with your expert guide and driver on the pier
09:00	-	10:15	City highlights driving tour along the embankments with the views of well-preserved Renaissance palaces of the 17-18th centuries - the Houses of the Swedish Parliament, the Royal Opera, the Royal Palace, the Royal Dramatic Theatre - and the popular bohemian districts featuring many impressive examples of Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) architecture

10:15	-	11:30	Guided tour of the Vasa Museum, home of the 17th century Royal warship "Vasa". In 1628, the Vasa sailed from Stockholm on her maiden voyage and sank immediately due to major flaws in her construction design. She was salvaged over 300 years later and is today the world's only existing 17th century ship. You will view the Vasa from six different levels.
11:30	-	11:45	Scenic drive to Gamla Stan, an amazingly well-preserved Old Town where Stockholm was founded in 1252
11:45	-	12:30	Walking tour of Gamla Stan with its narrow winding cobblestone streets and medieval alleys including Stortorget (The Big Square), the oldest square in Stockholm, Marten Trotzigs alley, the narrowest alley in Gamla Stan (only 90 cm wide), Jarnpojke (Iron Boy), the smallest public monument in Stockholm (only 15 cm high)
12:30	-	13:30	Free time in Gamla Stan to enjoy some local cuisine, shopping or visiting one of the many fabulous museums. Just a few ideas: Sweden's National Cathedral; the Nobel Museum; the Royal Armory Museum, where you may have a chance to see the parade of soldiers and the daily changing of the guard; Riddarholmen Church, a royal burial church that was built as a Franciscan monastery for the so-called Grey Brother monks in the 13th century.
13:30	-	14:00	Transfer to the port
			Optional: you may choose to stay in vibrant and exciting Gamla Stan and make your own way back to the ship
14:00			Arrival at the pier

Sequence and timing of sightseeing may vary based on congestions at venues, capacity allowances mandated by museums, and museums' closing days or other logistical issues, however the content will always remain as confirmed.

   

• This tour is not wheelchair-accessible and not recommended for tourists with walking issues. If you feel you will not be able to cover long distances or require use of a walker or wheelchair, please contact us for our recommendations. As always, we will be happy to accommodate private tour wishes for you to enjoy greater flexibility to move at your own pace.

   

• This tour involves extensive walking, at times over uneven surfaces, and may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be equipped for the possibility of rain.

   

• Minimum age for group tours: 7 years. If you are travelling with kids under the age of 7, we recommend that you book a private tour to allow your youngsters the flexibility to comfortably move at a slower pace.

   

• Discounts: Discount for children and teenagers up to 17 years old is 10% per person.
