Stay close to the port and discover the Baltic seaside resort of Warnemuende and the Medieval Town of Rostock. The former fishing village of Warnemuende with its typical gabled houses preserves the flair of good old times. Stroll along the authentic Old Stream canal and fish market, smell (or taste) the smoked fish and fresh sea breeze. A short train ride away is the heart of Rostock, the biggest and most well known city of Mecklenburg county. This old Hanseatic and university town offer you a rich variety of awe-inspiring sights and photo opportunities.
"We also did an Alla tour in Warnemunde/Rostock, Germany. Our excellent local guide Karen led us on a short walk around the quaint seaside resort of Warnemunde before taking us by train and streetcar to Rostock and back by boat. The walk around the historic downtown sights was very interesting and informative and we had a most enjoyable lunch outside at City Market Square."
